For this project, we were asked to completely change the whole look of this garden. It was over grown with bushes, grass and weeds. The garden was also naturally on a steep slope. The garden did have a patio area, but this was old, so we were asked to remove this and replace it with new sandstone patio slabs
The first thing we did was to cut down all the bushes, dig up the grass and dispose of any weeds, flowers and bramble bushes that had been growing for some time. The old patio was dug up and the brick-built BBQ was removed.
Once the area was clear we were ready to commence the next stage of the project.
The first thing to do was to lay a new patio area on one side of the garden. The client didn’t want the whole paved at the top, so we laid stones there instead. In the middle of these was a few sandstone paving slabs, so the client had something to walk on.
We then laid new turf to the other side of the garden. Because this area would be higher than the patio area, we built a brick wall around it. Another brick wall was built on the other side. In between this we built steps leading down to the bottom of the garden. The middle level of the garden was covered in stones.
Another patio area was laid at the bottom of the garden leading up to the back doors and to the side of the house. We also built a new brick-built BBQ that matched the brick wall.
Our clients were really pleased with what we did for their garden and can now enjoy it for many years to come.
