We are very happy to create a plan from a visit or to work to your very specific requirements / ideas about your garden / driveway, this is an example of a very detailed requirements list that we are delighted to work from, have a look to see
We have continued to have serious problems with our builder – we ended up having to remove the entire kitchen and bring up all the floor tiles as the screed they had used was still wet. We then had to wait 4 weeks for the screed to dry (with no kitchen). And the builder was nowhere to be seen during any of this, so we had to do it all ourselves.
Looking forward, I’d like a quote for my front and back garden brickwork and landscaping and I’d appreciate it if you could do the works before Christmas as my gardens are dangerous for my daughter because of builder debris.
Front garden
1) repoint brick wall and build up the 3 small brick pillars that used to be there – approx 6 bricks high. See photo as example. I have the 2 x black metal fences that go between the 3 pillars already.
2) install wooden fence on right hand boundary
3) install slabs on entire front
– we might need some drainage holes in the brick wall so the water can escape?
– the exposed soil has lowered since we have spoken due to rain washing it away, so we will need to build the level back up so that the finished slabs are level with where they were
– you to provide / bring the slabs
4) the path between the gate and the front door – please provide 2 cost options:
Option a – leave as it and just make good the 4 or 5 missing tiles
Option b – remove the entire path and replace with new base / tiles, including adding in (i) some vents in the front door step so as to provide air for the basement space, and (ii) an additional step down to the pavement (as the existing step is high for a push chair going off the pavement)
Back garden
1) Turf the raised level with grass (and lay the weed-prevention liner), am open to using artificial grass, what do you think?
2) re. the steps between the patio and raised grass level: lay 4 breeze blocks on the existing ‘lower step’ to heighten it so as to create one longer step
3) Tile the steps (we have the tiles)
4) Raise the right hand side section of garden wall so the top of the wall is flush with the top of the fence gravel board (see photo)
5) Raise the garden wall section at the back of the patio so that the top of the wall is flush with the top of the fence gravel board (see photo). Add a back wall to this section so it creates a contained trough for flowers. I have included 3 photos below to show what we might like to do in terms of built-in seating – it depends on what you would recommend for us, given our wooden fence (as discussed)
6) Render both of these garden walls
7) Render the bottom of the fences either side of the patio – it’s only a small amount, covering the bottom line of brick
Please can you let me know what the cost will be and when you could start.
