How do I get a new driveway with Stone Made Drives?

How long will a driveway take to install?
The time it takes to complete the vast majority of our driveway jobs is usually dependent on the size of the particular project, and we will be able to give a more specific timeframe following the assessment of your property. However, we can advise that a medium-sized driveway to a standard semi-detached house usually takes around 4 days to complete.
Could the price change during the job?
Not at all. We pride ourselves on our price promise at Stone Made Drives, so we can assure you that you pay the price we originally quote you.
Will there be any disruption?
None whatsoever. At Stone Made Drives we are renowned for our ability to complete jobs in an efficient manner with minimal fuss, and this level of service is something that’s really hard to come by with other driveway companies. We work in a quiet manner without making any unnecessary mess, meaning that you’re able to continue life as usual while we complete the job for you.
Will you leave a skip by my house?
No. Stone Made Drives do not use skips as we have the appropriate transport to remove all working materials ourselves. We can assure you that nothing will be left and your property will be clean and tidy once we leave.

How much do you charge to have a tree stump removed?

How often do I need to have my driveway sealed?
We would recommend that you have your driveway sealed every couple of years. This way, your driveway will always look amazing and can be practically maintenance free.
How long will it take for my driveway to be dry after it has been sealed?
It could take up to 36 hours for it to dry, depending on the weather conditions.
I would like a new block paved driveway but do not have much of a budget. Can you help?
Yes, we can help. We can show you a brochure containing the wide range of block paving that we supply and install that will be within your price range. There are many options for you to choose from when it comes to picking the perfect driveway, so give us a ring if you would like to hear about these too.
Does tarmac come in any other colour than black?
Yes it does. You can choose to have red tarmac instead. Please contact if you would like to see some examples of this and would like to know more about our tarmacking services.
We have old fence panels to the front of our garden that are broken and look unattractive. Can you recommend something else?
Yes we can. We can either replace your old fence panels with new or we can remove them all completely and replace them with a lovely new brick wall. What are the advantages to a resin-bonded driveway?
There are a many advantages to having a resin-bonded driveway. Here are just a few.

I am interested in having artificial grass laid in my garden. How much will it cost?
We would love to be able to give you a quote but until we know how big the area is and what type of artificial grass you would like, as there is a wide range to choose from, we cannot do this. We are not sure about what pattern to go for when having our block paving laid. Do you have someone who can come up with a design for us?
Yes we do. Our expert pavers can show you many designs and can show you the vast array of colours you have to choose from that will make any driveway look great.

We have had a new driveway laid but it floods every time it rains. Why is this?
It may have something to do with the drainage system that you had installed or maybe the lack of it. If you would like us to take a look, we may be able to rectify the problem.
What is imprinted concrete?
Imprinted concrete is a type of surface that is used to create the perfect driveway. It is becoming extremely popular with our customers throughout Lancashire.
The process:
A layer of concrete is poured over a suitable base. A colour is then added together with a coloured hardener. An effective pattern will then be applied to the concrete while it is still wet. You can choose from these designs:
- Brick
- Stone
- Cobbles Slate
- Timber decking

Yes of course we can. Our professional landscapers will happily go through them with you to ensure everything is correct. We may even be able to recommend other ideas that will be more suitable for the space you have. We could add a brick built BBQ into the design or maybe some steps. The ideas are endless.
