Let down by another Company?

Unfortunately its reasonably common to get comments like these below where a householder has been messed about / ripped off or given bad service / results from a groundwork / block paving company. 1 A competitor of yours that now has gone out of business recently landscaped our garden, with stone and paving slabs.

You came and quoted us before and wish I had taken you up on your great quote but would it be possible to return? Some of the patio slabs have come loose and the purple stone requested hasn’t come out purple.

The patio slabs would need redoing (four) and would look into the stone, and bring purple stone. Also the driveway requires pressure washing.

2 Thank you for sending your representative last Friday, As he agreed the tarmac which was laid by the company I told you about is not fit for purpose, it is still soft underfoot two weeks after being completed and there are a number of issues. I have attached photos showing areas where weeds are already breaking the surface, marks and divots and uneven sections. There is also an issue with poor drainage close to the house.

To confirm, your guy agreed that this needs to be remedied. Can you please send me a specification of the remedial work you intend to carry out before any further work is agreed. Please respond by email if you have any queries regarding this request otherwise I look forward to receiving your specification / description of the intended work.

3 We are interested in gathering quotes for resin bound and block paving please after having another company try and fail to complete this project we intend choosing wisely this time. The previous company agreed a price, took our deposit and then disappeared after 2 days work, their website / phone number and address are all gone now / not used now.

We’ve recently moved into the property and it’s a bit of a squeeze getting the car on the drive, especially with a toddler so we’d like to widen it and create space at the front of the house to maneuver – Removing hedges, lawn etc.

4 I was hoping of possibly getting a quote for an imprinted concrete patio in our rear garden please? I am asking due to a previous company letting us down, you come highly recommended so happy to give you the work if you can provide a quote.

The patio we require will be 3 metres depth by 9 metres width (width of whole garden), total 27 Sq metres attached to the rear of the house. I’ve attached a picture of the area it will be located, and also attached a picture of a rough idea of what design we would like, although this is flexible.
